"If it's new, I want to learn about it," says Robin Koetje, THG's Director of Information Technology. "Technology is always changing, and it's exciting to research and implement new and more beneficial systems."

As a Certified Hospitality Technology Professional and member of Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals, Robin is well-versed in accounting systems, in-room technologies, communications, networking, and computer systems. "It's important to know the advantages of new applications, but just as important to understand the impact of change," notes Robin. "Change can be disruptive, even though the final result is positive. I weigh the pros and cons of implementing new technology to ensure that all of our tools are not only user-friendly, but that their purchase produces a good return on investment for our client."

Robin was employed by one of THG's properties prior to joining the corporate staff in Seattle. He holds a BA in Business Administration from the University of Washington and is a member of the University of Washington Alumni Association.

Always energetic, Robin enjoys spending time with his two daughters, playing guitar, snowboarding, mountain biking, golfing, and, of course, "mastering" video games.
